I’ll Be Doing a Panel at TrekTrax Atlanta!
In less than two weeks Dan and I will be heading down south for TrekTrax Atlanta, a Star Trek convention being run by Eric Watts. Eric ran Trek programming for Dragon*Con for 17 years, and earned our respect and admiration in the process. So when he asked me if we would come down for the convention, how could I possibly say no?
So, we’ll be hopping in the car for an extended weekend trip to Atlanta. I’ll actually be one of two presenters on a panel discussion about Klingon novels, comics, and fanfic. I’ll be getting to interview the actresses who played the deliciously wonderful Duras sisters on Star Trek: The Next Generation. And of course, I’ll be eagerly taking photos of the Miss Klingon Empire Beauty Pageant.
While we’re in Atlanta, we’ll also have a chance to see some family, including my dad, and Dan’s mom and two of his brothers.
It’s going to be a whirlwind trip, but I’m very excited. I love attending a new convention for the first time, and getting to interview Barbara March and Gwynyth Walsh is pretty damned awesome.
As always, I’ll be sure to post photos of our adventures.
P.S. Hoping to have the next issue of VOYAGES magazine out around the same time!
