Portrait Project – Week 27: Me

Last week, which marked the halfway point in my 52 week Portrait Project, had originally been planned as the week I would attempt a self portrait. But as it worked out, my sister was here for a visit, and I wanted to take the opportunity to include her while she was here. So instead, kicking off the last half of the project, is my self portrait.

I’m not going to lie and pretend I’m in love with this photo. But as I remembered tonight, self portraits are rough. I haven’t really attempted to do one in a long time, and without an assistant, tonight it felt impossible. After struggling for over an hour or so, I got this one, and decided to call it a night. So here you go. Self portraits are hard.
